Ítem Educational Management Analysis of Open Classroom Program in the circuit 06 of Central Regional Education Bureau in San José, Costa Rica(2012-06-30 00:00:00) Cortés Rodríguez, BayronThis study analyzes Aula Abierta (Open Classroom or One-room Schoolhouse) program management within the Costa Rican educational system, specifically in the circuit 06 in Dirección Regional de San José (San José Regional Education Bureau).This research was conducted based on coordination links between program implementation and competent authorities. Also the study was implemented in marginal and urban educational institutions including among its objectives a proposed management model for the Aula Abierta (Open Classroom or One-room Schoolhouse) program. The national and international education policies are defined for interpreting the topic, XXI Century Education, education management, model management, evaluation and control of educational programs, project education for all international conventions and in Aula Abierta (Open Classroom or One-room Schoolhouse) program Costa Rican context. The main conclusions of the study are: the administration's commitment to education in the process in culture and the society. Thus, the study externalizes concern of both teachers and principals about the lack of monitoring to this population by raising an intervention proposal directed towards a dual education system, which takes into account two dimensions, one academic and other profession-oriented work.Ítem Management Analysis of Education Offerings of the Third Cycle of Basic General Education Open in the West Regional Education Bureau(2012-06-30 00:00:00) Alfaro Céspedes, Mildred; Arce Barrantes, Margoth; Gatjens Esquivel, Marianela; Murillo Vega, María Teresa; Quintanilla Morán, Jose Reynold; Vásquez Pacheco, SianyThe authors present ,in this article, results of a research analyzing the overall management of learning distance educational offers of Cycle III General Basic Education for Youth and Adults in Dirección Regional de Educación de Occidente (West Regional Education Bureau). This is an exploratory and descriptive research using qualitative techniques. In order to collect information, questionnaires and interviews were applied to the actors directly involved in this type of learning distance education. Data analysis is presented in analysis categories that support this study: system coordination from management, action planning at projects locations, the organization of learning distance projects locations, implementation of administrative actions and evaluation. Among the key findings are noted: poor communication of the guidelines towards different levels from the macro, meso and micro educational levels, lack of involvement of the educational community, inadequate provision and distribution of financial, human and teaching resources, unsuitable curriculum for the needs of target population, and an inadequate assessment which does not produce inputs to improve this kind of education.
