The Martian Chronicles: The Triple System

Abstract

This article discusses the story collection The Martian Chronicles by American author Ray Bradbury and analyzes the literary genres that are combined in it: science fiction, utopia and chronic. It will demonstrate how the text weaves from these genres, a clear, open and sometimes acidic critique of society, a warning rather than force on the scope of space exploration and the frightening possibility of repeating the cruel experience of the Conquest of America From an ethical perspective and humanist. Este artículo aborda la colección de relatos Crónicas marcianas del escritor estadounidense Ray Bradbury y analiza los géneros literarios que se combinan en él: la ciencia ficción, la crónica y la utopía. Se demostrará cómo el texto entreteje a partir de estos géneros, una clara, abierta y a veces ácida crítica a la sociedad, una advertencia más que vigente sobre los alcances de la exploración espacial y de la aterradora posibilidad de repetir la cruel experiencia de la Conquista de América, desde una perspectiva ética y humanista.
