Obituary of George V. Odell, 1926–2006

Abstract

This is an Obituary for George Vanderbilt Odell (1926–2006), a highly respected researcher and professor of biochemistry. Born in Oklahoma and raised in rural Texas, he served in the Navy during WWII before earning his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees. He spent most of his academic career, from 1956 to 1994, at Oklahoma State University (OSU), focusing initially on natural products related to peanuts and coffee.
