The pulmonary adenocarcinoma is the  more common  lung cancer, in women and in nonsmokers in both sexes. Its incidence is increasing. In industrialized countries like the United States, is now the leading cause of cancer death in women, in part because of the decline in mortality from breast and colorectal cancer, because of the implementation of preventive measures and health programs in the last decade. It is estimated that in 2009 twice as many women died of lung adenocarcinoma from breast cancer in that country. This increase in mortality from lung cancer in recent years in women is mainly due to the increase in this histological type of adenocarcinoma.

In the past few years, there has been a  raising concern about the spread use of chemical synthetic substances, non-illegal, which its apparent purpose is to be used as “incense” or “bath salts”, but in fact, their components are synthetic cannabinoids or stimulant drugs. Because its condition of non-illegal, they are sold over the counter and can be reached for any person. There are reports in the medical literature, mainly associated to mental disturbances and psychosis. It is imperative to know the presence of this kind of toxic substances, their clinical manifestations and treatment, as well as to motivate the authorities to generate the appropriate strategies to limit its use.
