Análisis de la traducción de la subtitulación chino-español en las películas wuxia de Zhang Yimou

Abstract

Esta tesis comprende el análisis de la traducción de la subtitulación chino-español y el tratamiento de los culturemas en las películas wuxia del director Zhang Yimou. Se seleccionaron tres películas del género wuxia, ellas son: Héroe (英雄, Yīngxióng, 2002), La casa de las dagas voladoras (十面埋伏, Shímiànmáifu, 2004) y Sombra (影, Yǐng, 2018). Dichas películas están en formato DVD, tienen como idioma original el chino mandarín en cuanto a la pista sonora y contienen subtítulos en español. Las películas reúnen los elementos necesarios para analizar la traducción de la subtitulación. Este trabajo pretende clasificar las palabras, frases y oraciones como culturemas de wuxia y su subtitulación correspondiente al español. Además, este trabajo trata de clasificar las técnicas de traducción aplicadas para la traducción de las palabras, frases y oraciones como culturemas de wuxia. Aparte, tiene el fin de estudiar la relación entre las técnicas de traducción utilizadas en el corpus con los métodos de traducción, analizar la efectividad de las técnicas de traducción utilizadas para codificar conceptos relacionados con la cultura china y proponer alternativas de traducción para las inconsistencias culturales que se identifiquen en los subtítulos del corpus. Para el desarrollo del trabajo, se han clasificado 452 culturemas de wuxia junto con sus ámbitos culturales, las subdivisiones de los ámbitos culturales y las subtitulaciones de las películas correspondientes. Dentro de estas 452 muestras, se han identificado 100 culturemas con nuevas propuestas de traducción. Para finalizar, se analizaron los resultados cuantitativos sobre las técnicas de traducción identificadas, la sistematización de resultados sobre las técnicas aplicadas en las nuevas propuestas de traducción y los métodos de traducción.This thesis includes the analysis of the translation of Chinese-Spanish subtitling and the treatment of culturemes in the wuxia films of the director Zhang Yimou. There are three wuxia films selected, they are: Hero (英雄, Yīngxióng, 2002), The House of Flying Daggers (十面埋伏, Shímiànmáifu, 2004) and Shadow (影, Yǐng, 2018). These films are in DVD format, where Chinese is the original language for the soundtrack and the subtitles are in Spanish. These films bring together the necessary elements to analyze the translation of the subtitling. The thesis intents to classify words, phrases, and sentences as culturemes of wuxia, and their subtitling in Spanish. Also, this thesis aims to classify the translation techniques applied to the translation of words, phrases, and sentences as culturemas of wuxia. In addition, it tries to study the relationship between the translation techniques used in the corpus and the translation methods, to analyze the effectiveness of the translation techniques used to encode concepts related to Chinese culture, and to propose new translation for the cultural inconsistencies identified in the subtitles of the corpus. During the analysis, 452 culturemes of wuxia have been classified within their cultural areas, the subdivisions of the cultural areas and the related subtitles. With these 452 examples, 100 of them with new translation proposals have been identified. Finally, the quantitative results about the identified translation techniques and the results on the techniques applied in the new translation proposals and the translation methods were analyzed.
